Review: We recently had our 73-year-old chimney cleaned and repaired by Brandon and his team from A Better Chimney and are very happy with how it turned out. The mortar was crumbling – chunks were actually falling into our backyard – and the whole structure was showing its age. We really needed to get it fixed as soon as possible.We got 3 other estimates, and all of them gave us no other options except to tear the whole thing down and rebuild – something we did not have the budget for. Brandon carefully explained how he would go about repairing the chimney and that rebuilding it was NOT the only option.Brandon and his crew handled everything smoothly and finished the job in two days. They also cleaned up the lime stains on the outer brick; something the other companies told us couldn’t be done and that we’d just have to live with it.As promised, Brandon came back a month later to seal the chimney, ensuring everything was perfect. The quality of his work is fantastic, the price was fair, and he communicated with us throughout the whole process. Review: We used Brandon and team to fix our very poorly chimney before we converted to gas and they did such an amazing job! Review: Brandon and crew did an excellent job rebuilding the top of my chimney from the roofline up, and tuck-pointing below the roofline. The price was reasonable as well (not the least expensive, nor the most, but closer to the least). Brandon’s 20 years of experience is clear when talking to him about masonry. He’s easy to work with, conscientious, and made sure that I was happy with everything before it was declared finished. The project was accepted in early July 2021 and finished in early December 2021. Weather (too hot in summer; too rainy in fall) played a part in the length of the project. Before and after pics below.

Review: I needed my primary fireplace cleaned and some mortar fixed. I also needed the chimney stack surface cleaned of moss and sealed, the crown resurfaced, and a cap replaced. I reached out to Brandon, lightly laughed about having the same name, and scheduled the inspection and the following work. Brandon was willing to educate me by addressing all the questions I had as I want to take care of my property. He was pleasant to talk to, looks to have done a good job, and, again, educated me on many aspects. The job was fairly priced and I would recommend him to anyone wanting someone who is honest and will do a great job getting your chimney in order.
